  • Prize Money:  Best Exhibit in Shoe $250
  • Prize Money:  Best Exhibit in Class $50
  • Staging is between 7 and 9pm on Thursday 5 and again from 7 to 11am on Friday 6 March.

  While you are in South Gippsland, take in sights like the Port Welshpool Long Jetty, Agnes Falls and the rolling foothills of the Strzelecki Range.

  The Port Welshpool long jetty and Agnes Falls, the highest in Victoria, are only a few minutes’ drive away.

  Welshpool is about a 2.5 hour drive from Melbourne. If you want to stay overnight, there are motels in Foster, Toora and Yarram.

  Breeding New Dahlias

  10 years ago I began to grow dahlias from seed collected from my patch in Newcastle in an attempt to breed new varieties of dahlias. My aim was and still is to produce vase worthy blooms in new and unusual colours and forms What began as a simple experiment has sparked a passion for producing and sharing a new range of Australian dahlias including the dusky, smokey hues of Lileah Caramel Rose, the wavy petals of Lileah Mailman and the petaloid form of Lileah Pink Petticoats.
